Porsche Brake Repair in Abu Dhabifor Steel, PSCB and Ceramic Brakes
Porsche brakes are built to stop a 911 Turbo from 300 km/h, but Abu Dhabi's heat, dust and stop-start traffic wear them faster than the factory schedule assumes. Exotic Auto Services repairs every Porsche brake system: standard cast-iron discs, tungsten-coated PSCB discs and carbon-ceramic PCCB discs, on every model from the 911 to the Taycan.
Pads, discs, calipers and fluid for every Porsche brake system.
Every brake job starts with a measured inspection of pad depth, disc thickness and fluid condition. You get an itemised quotation before work begins, and every repair ends with a road test and carries our workshop warranty.
Book a Porsche brake inspection today and get a written quote before any work starts. With a service contract, our driver collects your car for free from anywhere in Abu Dhabi.

Porsche Brake Systems Explained: How to Tell Which One You Have
Porsche fits 4 main brake systems, and the caliper colour tells you which one is on your car. Each system has different parts, wear limits and repair costs.

Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB)
PSCB discs carry a tungsten carbide coating about 100 microns thick, applied at supersonic speed and roughly ten times harder than iron. Porsche introduced the system on the third-generation Cayenne in 2017 and states it lasts about 30% longer than standard discs while producing far less brake dust. The coating needs a specific bedding-in procedure after new pads are fitted, which we follow on every PSCB job.

10×Harder than iron
30%Longer life than standard discs
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
PCCB discs are around 50% lighter than cast-iron discs, saving about 20 kg of unsprung weight on most models. They resist fade and corrosion, but they wear differently: a ceramic disc loses mass rather than thickness, so we check it by weight against the minimum value marked on each disc. Clean PCCB wheels with a pH-neutral cleaner only, as acidic wheel cleaners can damage the discs.

Taycan and E-Hybrid Brakes
Around 90% of everyday braking in a Taycan is handled by electric recuperation of up to 290 kW, according to Porsche. That means the friction brakes are used far less, so the discs can corrode and the pads can glaze from lack of use. We inspect Taycan and E-Hybrid brakes for surface rust and caliper sticking, not just pad depth.

☀ Desert conditions
Why Abu Dhabi Conditions Are Hard on Porsche Brakes
Abu Dhabi's climate and roads put 4 kinds of extra stress on brake systems.
DOT 4 boiling point
50°C summer air
230°CFresh DOT 4
155°C3.7% water (FMVSS 116)
Heat
Summer temperatures reach 50°C, and discs already near that temperature at rest heat up faster under hard braking. Repeated heat cycles harden pads and can warp discs.
Humidity
Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air. Fresh DOT 4 fluid boils at 230°C, but at 3.7% water content its boiling point drops to 155°C under the FMVSS 116 standard. Boiled fluid causes a soft pedal and brake fade.
Sand and dust
Fine sand gets between pads and discs, causing scoring and squealing. It also wears caliper seals and slide pins.
Traffic and speed bumps
Stop-start driving on routes such as Sheikh Zayed Bridge, together with the many speed bumps in residential areas, means constant braking from low speeds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Not sure which brake system your Porsche has? Send a photo of the caliper on WhatsApp.
How much does Porsche brake repair cost in Abu Dhabi?
The cost depends on the model, the brake system and which parts need replacing. A pad change on standard steel brakes costs far less than new PSCB or PCCB discs. Exotic Auto Services gives an itemised quotation after inspection, with up to 35% off on repairs compared with the dealership.
02
How often should I replace Porsche brake pads?
Replace the pads when the dashboard wear warning appears or when an inspection shows low pad depth. Pad life varies widely with driving style, model and brake system. Stop-start city driving and spirited driving both shorten pad life, so we check pad depth at every service.
03
Do I need new discs every time I change the pads?
No. Steel discs can often last for two sets of pads if they stay above the minimum thickness stamped on the disc. We measure every disc and replace it only when it is worn, warped or scored. Discs are always replaced in axle pairs.
04
How often should Porsche brake fluid be changed?
Porsche specifies a brake fluid change every 2 years, regardless of mileage. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and can cause a soft pedal under hard braking. Abu Dhabi's coastal humidity makes this interval especially important.
05
Can you repair Porsche ceramic (PCCB) brakes?
Yes. We inspect PCCB discs by weight, replace pads and service calipers on ceramic brake systems. We use pads approved for PCCB discs, since standard pads can damage the ceramic surface. Disc replacement is quoted after the weight check.
06
Why do my Porsche brakes squeal?
Squealing usually comes from worn pads, glazed pads, sand trapped between the pad and disc, or missing anti-squeal shims. Some high-performance pads also make light noise when cold. A grinding sound is more serious and means the pads may be worn through.
07
Do Taycan brakes need servicing if the car brakes electrically?
Yes. The Taycan handles most everyday braking through recuperation, so the friction brakes are used less and can corrode or glaze. The brake fluid still needs changing every 2 years. We inspect Taycan discs for rust and calipers for sticking at every service.
08
How long does a Porsche brake repair take?
A pad replacement on one axle is usually finished the same day. Disc, caliper or full system work can take longer, depending on parts availability. We confirm the timeline on your itemised quotation before any work begins.
